"#1. Buying
Wholesale, Selling Retail."
|
eBay!

eBay!
is I believe the worlds
largest flee market, a world wide mall of unbelievable proportions.
I have used ebay extensively over the years and have bought many
things at bargain prices. (You can check me out if you like) Click
on the eBAY link above and at the bottom left of the page click on
"Feedback Forum". On the new page enter in "Banjo-ok" and it will
give you my "reputation" so to speak. Or you can check my
"About me" page.
Well now
here is a considerable problem. Dividing fact from fiction. Do a
simple search for selling on
eBay!
and you will find an
amazing number of ebooks, (books that are downloaded and displayed
on your computer) promises of making thousands of dollars in your
first month, and if you check your local library I expect you will find
probably about a dozen books on the subject. The idea here is to buy
stuff from garage sales, flee markets, whatever and sell it online
where there are literally millions of ready buyers for your stuff so
they can sell it and make more money!
Another idea is to
find a wholesaler and buy their closeouts at super low prices so
that you can sell them at just "normal" low prices on ebay. Many who
have done this have found themselves literally working for ebay and
making very little. They spend a great deal of time buying, boxing,
shipping, and handling multitudes of emails from customers etc.
A
neat way to get around some of this is to use a wholesaler such as
http://www.megagoods.com/
that will drop ship the items directly to the customer for you. You
simply send them an email and they will box and ship the package
straight to the customer. You then save a great deal of work, carry
no inventory, and have no storage problems.
Lots of folks online are
willing to sell you lists of wholesalers but they are not hard to find
for yourself. For instance this one:
http://www.wholesalecentral.com/ They are a sort of
clearing house for wholesale buyers and sellers, some drop ship such
as
http://www.hotbuy4u.com/ .
Others do not. A difficulty of course
is that many people find these wholesalers, and you would be in
direct competition with them. This competition is what makes ebay a
great place for buyers often driving prices down to a losing
situation for sellers.
